so happy to hear you enjoyed yourself. i love the pictures -- i love pittsburgh at night with all the reflections in the water. (must remember to show wayne these pictures!) i've never ridden the subway. the waterfalls are amazing -- must see/hear that!
The only subway I have to compare with is the NY one and Pittsburgh seemed friendlier and quieter (not so much like a huge noisy dragon's belly).
The reflections on the water (so very many bridges!) would have been wonderful at any time but the boats with all their little twinkling lights was magical. I really felt like a tourist exploring Pittsburgh the same way we did NY last year. There is a lot there! (that I had no idea about before)
i wish i would've decided way back in december to go with you guys -- would've loved it, i'm sure. BUT i did have a great weekend here with family.
even at our fireworks on the river there were a few boats out with their lights on and i enjoyed that -- so i can imagine how it must've been. i saw jules and the boys and said hello!
I think the fireworks are actually better in Franklin - more personal and close in our little valley. They set them off too fast and furious in Pittsburgh and I didn't care for the patriotic music playing over giant speakers in the background either. Yuck.
Maybe someday we can go as a group and sitesee Pittsburgh? That would be fun - a day trip.
You got some good pictures. I especially like the ones you took at night of the juncture of the three rivers and the bridge. The lights and reflections on the water are beautiful. I was only ever in Pittsburgh one time, age 17, remember?
