This is the first day I've felt drawn to opening up my laptop and doing morning writing in nearly a week. Usually I don't feel like I can start my day till I sum something up with typed words and a picture

I know you didn't really want to focus on health issues, so I will say a thing and then drop it!
There are things that you can control, and things that you can't. (A lot of things that you can't!)
Worrying about the "what-ifs"--allowing them to take up space in your mind and your heart--is the one thing that you do have control over, that can change your stress levels and actually make your condition better or worse both physically and mentally. You didn't ask for advice, but if I could offer some, it would be to list all the things that you can't control...and then let them go. Squash the "what-ifs" as they bubble up, because A) worrying about things that haven't happened accomplishes nothing and helps no one, B) you can't do a single thing about any of the "what-ifs" even if they DO happen, and C) actively letting go of things you can't control is pretty much the one thing that you can realistically do about any of this.
You are here now, and people care about you.
I hope it's a wonderful holiday for you, whatever

I'm so glad to see you posting again - your last post was about health and then nothing. I have come to expect a little photo or comment from you every day, so I was beginning to worry. I hope you are able to get that testing soon and have some answers. Your house always looks so festive that it hardly needs decorating; I hope it goes well. I need to do at least a bit myself but I'm not sure where to put my tree this year.
I think I was kind of thrown for a loop with the health scare. Didn't have much else on my mind for a while there. Nothing much to say. Wasn't even interested in a camera. Thanks for thinking of me.

the original meaning Rest was to give peace
that's a good message
what comes to me now
"love and Joy come to you
and to you your wassail too"
Wassail being Vas Heill

Do you know what gives Earl Grey its distinctive flavor? Bergamot. I think that's fun.
