flowers

I've started carrying a magnifying glass with me when I go out for a walk so I can look at flowers close up. I nearly always let out a little involuntary exclamation when I see what's really there. There is so much intricate detail in flowers - amazing! I brought home a sprig of Dame's Rocket tonight to see if I could get some closeup details with ( Read more... )

They are going crazy around here this year. I love that there are banks of them everywhere.

Yeah. I've been watching them migrate east for the last decade or so. Used to be that I would only see them around Ithaca (roughly the NY Southern Tier), but they've spread to the Hudson Valley now.

The tiny flowers are wonderful works of art and well worth going to the trouble of magnifying them enough so that you can see them!
