What a beautiful method for pursuing music. Many artists get "commercial" about their art, or focus so much on being "the best", that they forget why they got into music/art in the first place: because it's beautiful ❤️

Well, there certainly would be nothing wrong with me getting better (I don't have much hope of being "the best"), but I didn't feel very good about my practice time before this. In my case I need to be much more forgiving of being imperfect. The only thing I have going for me is the love of the music!

I have you to thank for that link to the video of the concert pianist talking to students. Actually, I don't remember much else of it now but I remembered the phrase Open Your Heart. That seemed to really speak to me at the time as something I needed to hear.

Hsia-Jung is an amazing person... as well as an amazing pianist.

Her whole family are very talented and wise people, who are extremely kind and open-hearted in general. They do **everything** with love.

They help remind me it is possible do anything/everything with love and kindness.
