That is sad about the lake. It probably has a good ecosystem now.

There are fish in it now. Plenty of geese and ducks, otters and beavers sometimes too. I don't know how dredging will affect all that.

If it's a ground blind it's unfinished...someone could have started it and plans to finish on the hunting day.
All they'd need to do is sweep the floor clear to avoid making noise, and then cover it with leaves or a camo tarp.
Then they could poke the rifle between the logs (or actually I think the ground blinds are more popular for bow hunting if I remember right)

Some hunters will lie on the ground or kneel to hunt, believe it or not. They sell specific tent-blinds for that.
Or it could be for a child's hunting spot. Or it could be, as you said, a play house that some kids made.

Whatever, it's neat.

They seemingly did a good job with what they had. Though I think if they bumped it too hard it might come tumbling down.
