I thought Avatar was a "new" version, not just remastered but with new scenes as well?

Yes, it is promising, just doesn't work on the kind of papers that I wish it would (sulfite paper)...

There is a whole new Avatar coming out in December: Avatar: The Way of Water . The one we saw yesterday was the original one. I didn't realize till yesterday that the one we were going to see was the "old" one. I'm still glad I saw it. It was good to get refreshed on the story again.
