Did your dr. send you to a therapist after the cast was taken off? Or at least give you some exercises to do at home? I'm so sorry this is still bothering you. What a hassle.
No. Just said Bye. I was surprised there was no follow-up at all. I contacted the office later about exercises and they mailed me a printout. I do the exercises but certain movements (making a fist) are still very painful.
Yes, I never imagined my big problem in life would become a compromised right hand!
I'm thinking there might be something I can do about it. Especially if I find that it is caused by carpel tunnel syndrome. I just need to find out what is causing it. It's not like I am afraid of doctors or going to the doctor but I have a tendency to avoid it if I can. I'm working on how to approach them and next week I think I will reach out and give them a call.
Well that is very understandable. This is America after all!
There is nothing "regular" about my checkups, it all depends on whether I can afford the copay that year!
I hope you get some feedback, or perhaps a new opinion about what's going on with your hand/wrist. And whatever the answer turns out to be whether now or in the future, I hope you're able to make peace with it.
I love morning pages! I actually taught a workshop for The Artist's Way about 20 years ago. Morning pages and the artist's dates are the only 2 things I still practice. The journal is lovely--I have a lot of old papers lying around that I should do something with. Hope you get some answers soon on your wrist...
I kind of do morning pages here on LJ each morning but I'm thinking this will be different and maybe better - not edited at all. It might get rid of a lot of crap.
Thanks, making little pamphlet books is SO easy. I love making them.
Thanks. I can personally understand now how people who are in pain can become depressed. I'm lucky that it's not that terrible of a pain (not excruciating - more of a strong ache) and not there every single minute either.
