Wipe the counters so everything will be ready to make the boys breakfast later. Drink coffee and look at emails, read LJ, etc... 6:20 - start breakfast for the boys. Text them that it's ready. I recently read an article about the links between mental health and too much (unproductive) free time. You seem to have a pretty good balance, overall. And I think brains need time to be bored in order to be creative. You certainly are creative.

Thanks for the vote in confidence in creativity. Though I used to be much more creative. Getting older has taken a lot of it out of me it seems.

Getting older is definitely not for the faint of heart!! I’m feeling that too. How you express your creativity may have changed but i think you are still doing a lot- your writing, your photos, music, and all the things you do for your own amusement, like the pages and sketch a day challenges. Plus you still take on the occasional bigger project like the mosaics, and you teach when you have an interested student. I read a thing today about people calling themselves readers even though they don’t have the same intensive reading habits they had as kids. That’s how I see you - the interest and spirit is still there, even if it is at a different level than when you were young.
