If I could have only remembered my dreams from last night I would have lots of interesting stuff to write about this morning. Wait. One is coming back. Something about being a newcomer to college. The school looked like a castle with massive stone work and turrets. There were 2 cafeterias. Nancy and I were were going to early breakfast. You had to ( Read more... )

Beautiful artwork so far. Can't wait to see what you choose for words and additional touches!

I'm interested to see what I will do too! I don't have any idea on these things till I sit down and do it - like mindless doodling. :-)

You may remember I was the tech assistance for Mynga Futrell as she taught classes on Alzheimer's, I did this with her for three years so I have a definite opinion on diagnosing the disease. There's really only one sure-fire way to know and that is via brain imagine.

" In some circumstances, a doctor may use brain imaging tools to find out if the individual has high levels of beta-amyloid, a hallmark of Alzheimer’s; normal levels would suggest Alzheimer’s is not the cause of dementia."

Of course, not all insurance cover this, and I doubt it is cheap.

Also, I seem to recall you did the 23&me think. That would give you genetic testing results.

I'm very concerned for myself. I lose words constantly. And I mean, CONSTANTLY! I'll be discussing this with my Dr. next month.

Spend a little time at https://www.alz.org/ for more information.

And BTW, Mynga is vehemently against Aducanumab. Not nearly enough testing and the number of people used in the study is ridiculously low. Also, it's horribly expensive. It'll kill Medicare

That's interesting! Maybe I don't want to go that route then if I do get Alzheimer's...

I never have been good with remembering words or names (I always have been terrible) so that doesn't worry me as much. It's just more of the same as I get older. But I have lost interest in a lot of things that used to fill my mind. I guess that is the thing that makes me wonder about changes in my brain. I haven't done a 23 and Me. But I am interested in it. Maybe that should be where I might start then.
