Thats an interesting question for me considering I started weight watchers on Sunday OCT 18 and so am in the thralls of trying to loose weight not gain it!! oh wow I just don't get how "God folks" can really believe God is using someone like Trump for good. That would make me wonder abotu this God of theirs.... I mean that's pretty sneaky of him. I sure hope you've planted a seed! I like the box analogy and how it's important to try and think outside one's own boxes...

I just think it is not very smart to believe that way. Not much thought goes into it. I was taught to use my conscience to evaluate my thoughts. These churches seem to just want followers.

Good luck with your weight loss. Just by losing the 20 lbs I can feel a big difference. If I plateau here I will be satisfied. I don't want to gain any back though.

Thank you! I was able to loose around 40 about 20+ years ago fairly easily. In 2012 I joined a gym and did really well for a while but was diagnosed in 2014 with rheumatoid arthritis and so slowly gained. Exercise is hard for me. Osteo and rheumatoid get in the way.... but I'm optimistic that I can retrain myself to be happier with fewer calories. So far so good.

the old testament is filled with unsavory people who are supposedly doing God's work

I imagine those are the Bible stories those churches are using to validate Trump. That's the trouble with using the Bible to prove something. They can find a story to prove anything.
