2 Was there a toy you really wanted as a child, but never got?It wasn't a toy but it was something I wanted. I wanted a jet pack so I could fly. fortunately i find reading on line uncomfortable
it's for business not for pleasure
the print can be enlarged which is good for me
and i have to squint at some books
but, still, paper is my friend
my companion
my ticket to another world

Yes, "paper is my friend" - it's like a paper book can be your friend and companion. A world you can get lost in. I miss that with all the internet reading.

see but the problem is: if anyone could locate a jetpack, it would be a small child who had been promised a jetpack if she could find one. i LOVE that you called the airport. i think we would've been friends as kids.

Yeah, I wonder if I had kept looking - called the Pittsburgh Airport next (that would have been a long distance call and cost money back then). Back in the 60's how would you find such a thing? Now you can internet search for anything. I see that if you have $200,000 now you can get one!

Those are cool! I think as a kid I didn't think of the fact that it would be a loud and hot rocket. I imagined I would be able to fly like I did in my dreams with it. I've thought recently that maybe I should just take flying lessons with an instructor. That might be fun, and pretty safe too.
