I'm not a blue or purple lover but I like these colors together a lot.

Good advice...

That's good re: resuming hiking. Your granny square looks beautiful, I love the colors!

Sorry to hear about your brother; birthdays and anniversaries are always difficult...and yes, the world has changed a lot in the last 16 years...

Right - girls (and boys) want to grow up too fast and do the grown up things.

I like those colors too - together - though I'm not a person who would wear blue or purple.

Seemed like at first I would never get over missing him but now after 14 years it's much easier. Seems like another lifetime ago now.

Thanks...

I don't think I have any advice for my 12 year old self. I would for my 17 year old self, though!

That would be hard to catch the bus of it was early! My kid's bus was always exactly on time, and I could never work out how the driver did it!

I love the colour of that square. I hope it works out.

I'm glad the passing of time has eased your pain at your brother's passing. You and your family did an excellent job at caring for him!

I'd have some different advice for my 17 year old. Don't start smoking! And go to college. But, we have to do what we do I guess. It's how we learn - from mistakes.

Usually the bus is always the same time. Then rarely she throws in an early and catches you off guard.

Me too. :-)

Time does heal.

Yes, we learn from our mistakes. If we didn't make mistakes, we couldn't learn from them :P

Weird how she is early sometimes. I did catch one school bus which would park on one of our roads and rest there for a bit, because if he was too early, all the kids would miss the bus, and he would get earlier and earlier!

I'm sure you will always remember your brother, though.
