after lunch

Jun 09, 2019 23:24

After lunch (Dave, Hazel and I went to the Chinese buffet) I came home and slept again. I got up at 5 and felt like I finally had some energy. I started painting the barn with the roller (Dave was right - much more efficient than a paint brush on that rough surface) and got a lot done - till I ran out of paint. ( Some pictures... )

Boy, have you been busy! I think you might have needed those sleeps!

You look very happy in your shed :)

I am happy there! I like having it as a get away in the summer. I especially like it when I have a visitor, like Hazel.

What is the barn? Storage shed? This reminds me of my husband, Roy. When he was alive he was always building or fixing something around here. We have 1/3 acre lot. How big is yours? Looks very big. I love your goat shed, or girl cave.

"The Barn" is a shed that Dave built to hold my chicken supplies and a storage shed.

We have about 3.5 acres - half of it is over the hill and not visible from the house. Dave likes to build and fix things himself. I am amazed sometimes with what he can do alone - moving those huge timbers himself. Though I'm glad to hear he is going to get help with the roof. The goat shed has been a fun little project.

You did really well with all that painting, despite a sore knee. I find painting quite cathartic, but it does take a toll on your body.

I generally like painting. I get into a groove with it. But standing on my knee so much was hard this time.
