So many people are posting photos of spring-like things here on LJ. I got nothing. Just a a couple inches of snow covering everything. Though it is nice to see spring is happening somewhere - maybe it will get here eventually. Spring will get here in April. That isn't that far away ( Read more... )

I miss my kids, but I love watching their life stories unfold! Each new chapter is exciting, funny, frightening, sad or wonderful. And it is also gratifying to see them navigating life as self-sufficient adults. I guess I did my job right! I admit though, it is hard to go for a long time without making contact. On the plus side, life is a lot easier without kids to take care of!

Good way to think of it. Then there might be grandkids. But that is usually easier, and less stressful.

Oh well, spring WILL come!

I was wondering if you might be low on something. I find when I have calf cramps, it can be that I am low in calcium.

I find a cup of hot water works better than a glass of cold, sometimes. It doesn't have to have caffeine in it. It's something else that works for me but I don't know what.

I understand the empty nest syndrome. Yes, it was good to have one of my kids in the local town, but I did try to let him lead his life without visiting him too often. It was a bit sad when he moved to the city.

Yes, just have to be patient (about spring). Actually looking back on it this winter didn't seem too terribly long to me - of course it's not over yet. :-/

They told me to quit taking my calcium for some reason - that is a question I will be asking my doctor this week.

Finding new drinks to satisfy me now...

I just want him to be happy - where ever he goes - that is the most important thing. But that won't stop me missing him.

Absolutely! I just need to be reminded of that about a million times a day!
