I drove over to Ohio I visit my friend Cindy R and her husband Phil in their new home. I was very happy for them that after a lot of searching they finally found a very lovely place in a nice neighborhood. Cindy made lentil soup and I brought some quiche to share. Not impressed at all by that cop. Accidents do happen in bad weather, and he had no evidence at all that you were at fault.
I'm glad the tow truck guy was able to restore your faith in human nature a bit.

I don't know that I will fight the ticket but there is a part of me that wants to. Though I guess the point is (the cop told me) you are supposed to be in control of your vehicle at all time. And cause it was sliding I was not in fact in control of it - I had lost control of it. Oh well - this is one of these things that I think the sooner I move on and put it in the past the better.

No signs about slippery roads but I think that is just commonly understood that they could be slippery when wet.
All the cop had to do was put a TINY smile on his face at some time during our exchange and I would have felt differently about him. Just put forth a tiny effort to be friendly and not blaming. I'm willing to accept that I probably made a mistake in accelerating too much too soon on a wet road but I didn't do anything on purpose or by not paying attention either.
