This is only the second time I have heard it. We heard it about a month ago too. Sounds scary!

Yes! It sounds terrible. Like you should go out and help someone but then you are afraid of what you might find. Something unearthly out there.

That fox must have been close. Yes, Andy wouldn't have liked it being there. I wonder if it was attracted to the chickens? Andy is a good guard dog.

We were lucky! The weather is very unpredictable right now.

I hope the foxes don't have any plans for the chickens. There are lots of rabbits around here too though.

Ah, poor rabbits! Run, rabbit, run! I doubt if the fox could get at your chickens with the protection of the run.

Oh Gosh....that fox scream! Some of sounds like a hurt cry or warning call and other parts just kind of terrorizing. It would have scared me to death hearing that. I'm so glad it happened after Dave was back home! Hope it wasn't about the chickens!

Dave said he heard it the next night too but I slept through it. Very creepy. I don't think it had anything to do with the chickens. More likely mating.
