a walk in the snow

The snow stopped falling and Dave and I did decide to get out and hike somewhere with Andy. There is a game lands over by Marianne and Clarion that the North Country Trail goes through. We had walked to a certain bridge by way of the NCT last summer but thought we would try and reach it over game lands roads this time.

Andy sure doesn't like that grid!

Ooh, I HATE getting cold feet! My toes used to get cold when I had to walk over frosty lawn on the way to school when I was a kid. And the wind blew through my blazer!

Hope your feet recover soon.

Andy originally thought that if he stayed on the snow covered lines he would be safe but there are still holes between the grates there too - just filled in with snow. On the way back he walked down the middle on the bare metal of the grates like Dave was doing.

Cold feet in the winter was always my problem as a kid. One of the reasons I have not liked winter in the past - I don't like being cold!

Ah, smart Andy!

Yeah, when my feet are cold I am cold all over. Like you, I hate the cold!

Thanks. He had never been on something like this where his feet could fall through before - he was wisely concerned. :-)

Thanks. So many places around here to hike! And before about 4 years ago I never hiked anywhere really. I'm so glad to have discovered this hobby.
