I trust you are using premium treats like leftover chicken when you teach anything new to Andy. I am having my own Rosie challenges. Like doing fly-by to greet people you love, so she can see the whites of their eyes, I guess. She is 7 months old now and some stuff has got to go- but not Rosie. On Labs, hang in there. Keep teaching. The point will come about age 3...when their brain truly arrives. Often by UPS. :)

What's "fly-by"? Getting Rosie used to seeing someone very quickly and then moving on from them?

I'm waiting! Though I can see that now that he is one he has calmed down a bit more. Can't wait for 2 and three!

Having nothing to write about is almost always the reason I drift away for periods. But when I make my way back, I seem perfectly fine writing about nothing.

Yes, - writing about nothing. That's what I like to read - peoples thoughts.

I really like your drawing.

Despite your worries about lj, you were in the top rankings a few times recently, weren't you? You certainly make my friend's page more interesting and beautiful. And a journal IS ultimately about yourself.

I'm not sure how you teach a dog to roll over. I've never tried it.

I hope Hazel has a nice and safe time tonight.

And enjoy your family time!

Thanks.

I'm really not looking to get into the top rankings and that surprises me when I see that it has happened. I think it just must be the time of day I am posting - not that many people are on LJ in the morning so when I post something then it rises up higher in ratings.

Well, I hope I'm doing something with Andy that will work in the end. My theory is to get the dog to do it somehow (me rolling him over to start) and praise and treat him for it. Then as time goes on he will roll himself to get the treat.

Me too - waiting to hear how her night went.

I did lookup how to train your dog to roll over on You Tube after I commented on this; I guess you've looked on there, too.
