That's great news about Andy and the e-collar. Does Dave do a lot of hunting? It has never been a thing in my family but I love wild game. I feel like it would be a good skill to learn, but I just can't bring myself to do it.

Dave loves hunting and fishing and does a lot of it. Now that he is retired he can do it even more. He cleans the game himself and cooks it too. I have been a partial vegetarian (eat fish but no land animals) since 1990 so he has been on his own there. But I respect him for only killing what he does eat. He rarely buys any meat from the store. He usually gets at least one deer and that lasts him all year.

I didn't know Dave was retired! That's what I get for leaving LJ for a year.

I love this pendant, so pretty.

Before he retired he was probably what you would call semi-retired and only worked part time as a substitute teacher for the last few years.

Thanks!

Very nice!

Oooh, I would not like your weather. Dark and cool and cloudy here today, too. Not nearly as cold as your place, though, I bet!

Wow, Andy flushed a grouse and found it and guarded it until Dave got to it! Good dog!

I didn't realise Dave was retired for good, either!

Thank you.

This is his first year to be officially retired. But he was working less and less as time went on at sub teaching.

It will be great if the e-collar let's Andy have more fun by teaching understand his boundaries in the family rules better.

It is helping. I don't think it hurts him. It's more like he can feel us touching him from afar so he listens better.
