Something I am doing without presently (besides a pair of glasses that stay on my face) is my laptop. The battery is no good and won't let me turn the laptop on anymore. It gave me plenty of warnings about needing a new battery so I wasn't surprised when it finally gave out for good. The new battery should arrive tomorrow. In the meantime I am

I'm sorry your laptop battery died and that your glasses are broken - makes it hard to communicate!

Also, a car breakdown. Sorry Dave couldn't fix this one for you. The pillow was a good idea!

Interesting how the grouting went lighter and duller as it dried. It will be interesting to see how the metallic paint looks. I'm thinking rather magical!

Joni Mitchell has always been one of my favorites. I had a lot of her stuff back in the 60's and 70's but lost it. It will be good to connect with it again.

I only discovered murmurations of starlings a couple of years ago. They fascinate me and I watch out for them all the time now that I know when and where to look.

Oh yeah - I remember that it is called a murmuration - very fitting. I don't know if I've ever had one go directly overhead so I could hear them before this one.
