My driving job worked out very well yesterday. Though I was tired when I got back - it was time for my afternoon nap and I was glad to get home for it. The drive took us through some places to the north east of here that I had never been before - pretty farmlands, rolling hills. We also went past a place that was once our Uncle Jack and Aunt ( Read more... )

I wish I could have seen it better. Every time I walked closer to it it would fly to a perch farther away. Pretty neat just knowing it was there though, observing us on our walk.

It's rare to see one around here. Very special.

There was an owl hooting close by my trailer last night. I always makes me happy when I hear one, a reassuring voice in the darkness.

Sounds like an enjoyable day. Are you into fall yet?

I like owls too. They are amazing.

Not fall yet here. The last few days have been every bit as hot as the hottest summer days. We did have a little relief last week but it didn't last long. Though that is okay. I like summer to last as long as possible.

I'm glad the drive took you to parts you don't usually go and also a blast from the past!

I see the owl! I don't mind dusk walks. They are quite nice.

I had mixed feelings about using so much of my day for driving but it all worked out. I had a good time.

Darkness is coming earlier and earlier every night - I've started to take a flashlight in my pocket in case it gets dark on us when we walk.

That is good :)

So, what time does the sun set at your place, now?

We are coming up to the equinox now, which will mean equal days and nights ie the sun will rise and set at 6 am and 6 pm.

Today the sun rose at 6:54 and will set at 7:38. I'm not looking forward to the darkness coming back.
