This was a beautiful sequence of events and you did a terrific job of leading us through what happened. My favorite image was Sarah whacking mom's knuckles for lying, it made me smile.

I was also struck by the accuracy to the things we love about Ziva. The protectiveness, the deadly honed precision of the Mossad she once was. It is stark contrast to what she has become and I loved seeing that once again. While I don't know squat about Addison except her looks, her sense of terror and displacement were clear. Also, kudos for not making the emotion between them some sort of Florence Nightengale syndrome, but a rocky path to real sincerity.

Very glad I took a chance on this. Thank you!

I'm glad you took a chance, too. I admit I was a bit constrained by the implications of the initial drabble I wrote, but I did the best I could and I think it didn't turn out too bad. I wanted to take my time with the two of them. Addison wasn't just going to fall in love with Ziva and Ziva wasn't just going to give herself away to any witness with a pair of legs and a smile. It had to go slowly. So, I'm glad I did that justice. Thank you for reviewing.

omg!!!! I was totally lost for a while at the beginning, but I soon understood all that was happening!

and this bit is just so utterly sweet and touching:
When that failed, she told her baby that mommy wasn’t in love.

She got rapped with a rattle for her lie.

Sarah was not impressed.

Sarah is awesome!

and this bit is love too:
It was accompanied by the loving nonsense Ziva uttered to her, a language all their own.

They chased midnight away.

this was absolutely beautiful!

The confusion's kind of a by-product of me starting the story in the middle versus the beginning. I'm glad I eventually managed to make everything somewhat clear though.

Yes, little Sarah is a card. She gets that badassery from mom and the bodyguard. She can't help it. It just rubs off.

I'm so relieved you enjoyed the story. Because it's such a random pairing, worried that no one would. Thanks for proving me wrong. With a gorgeous Kate icon, no less.

I know right. I'm surprised my lj survived the awesome overload. God, I don't know if it can survive it again.

You know that won't stop me from trying. :-9

Lately, I feel like the world is on a mission to get me to watch NCIS. It's everywhere. Almost everyone I know watches it. I've held strong to my refusal to join in, tho.

I think this fic may have just changed my mind.

Wonderfully written. Even though I'm unfamiliar with Ziva, it felt authentic and left me wanting to know more about her.

Plus, your Addison was in a completely out of context situation, yet never out of character.

Great job. Thanks for sharing.

I'd read the original piece you wrote and fell in love with the idea of this crossover. And now, upon reading this story, I've fallen even more in love with the pairing. There are so many little details, both of Addison and of Ziva, that you incorporate in each small economy of words. This was beautifully done.

Is there any chance I can archive a copy of both of your Addison/Ziva stories on both the NCIS page @ Frisked & Conquered & the [starting up] Addison page @ Mmm...Doctor!?

You can absolutely archive them if you like. I'm honored that you enjoyed the stories so much and glad you read them.

I also meant to tell you that I've been to Mmm...Doctor! before and I love it. I also have a love of the redheaded (and, frankly, everyheaded) doctors you adore so much.
