I'm not much of a Casey fan, don't know why though.
The story was great anyhow.
I liked the pairings and how they "worked" together.

Was going through your entries for the whole "best new writer" nomination. You wrote fics before 2009, but they were het pairings. So technically you should still qualify. Better ask over at the award thread just to make sure.

Nevertheless I liked this. I don't watch SVU, so I had to search it up to know how does Casey Novak looks like. And woot!, she and JJ would make a cute pairing.

Casey took her hand again and kissed it. “Next time, we leave the phones in the fish tank.”

I thought that part was pretty cute. Did you ever finished that serial stranger fic you were talking about? If Casey and JJ's dynamic in that fic is as good as this one, I'm reading it.

I've actually been working on that one forever. It's a fairly long CM/SVU crossover, so I'm still working my way through it along with the other longish fics I'm writing. With any luck, it'll be done by IDF though. I'm really glad you enjoyed their part. I don't know where the pairing came from, I just had the sudden idea that they'd be cute together.

Okay I just got the verdict from the people running the awards and you can't qualify for the new writer nomination. It's for people who literally posted their first fanfiction around those dates.

However I enjoyed this fic enough that I might find another category to nominate it for.
