Woodscotch... Oh, like Woodstock and Scotch...

I just got back from Woodscotch. For those of you who don't know, Woodscotch is sort of a culmination-of-the-semester party/presentation thing for Scotch 'n' Soda. They have little performances (songs, skits, improv, &c.), baked goods, and the induction of new members at the end.

There is a balance in the configuration of social circles one maintains. Too few, and one gets bored with/tired of/annoyed at the few friends whose quirks get more and more bothersome over time. Too many, and the fitting in and multiple groups together issues you mentioned come up. One can't give themself to so many different things, but one needs a decent amount to begin with.
