So 北京欢迎你 (the 100 day countdown to the Olympics song) is totally stuck in my head right now. I really want to learn to sing it b/c it sounds so freaking Chinese (and not in the language sense).
Aww you've been going places this summer! Your life is probably more exciting than mine which is pretty much tedium and repetetiveness with going to work a lot. Let's do something next week. I may spend a lot of time going "OMG I HAVE TO PACK OH GOD WHY" though. But I promised to not think about it until August. Two more days!
Olympics opening ceremony is actually not going to be aired 'til 8pm on NBC.
Haha, well, it's for all the summer compiled, so it looks like I have a life. But we all know that's not true. And you went to China and Korea, that pretty much trumps everything.
What are you doing on the 7th? I'm at home all that week.
Nice of NBC to air the ceremony when people will actually be awake.
I'm home all day on the 7th, or should be, so yay~ Afternoons and nights are also free for me. You've already seen The Dark Knight but we could watch trashy dance movie? :D I finished dl-ing Kung Fu Hip Hop.
Well, you could try taking the train to DC... Although I'm not sure it would really be any faster than driving, since trains are often late, or so I've heard.
And contra dancing is indeed quite fun! Although I've only actually been once... I'm hoping to go lots more after I'm back in the state!
Where are you now if you're not in the state? Are you on a secret mission? In Guatemala? To overthrow the government? <--so change that to Cuba and then we could have the Bay of Pigs all over again.
I'm considering taking the bus. I think the train might be more expensive, and I don't know if there's one from Raleigh to DC b/c North Carolina is terrible w/ public transit. It's a good alternative to driving though.
I feel like there must be one from Raleigh to DC, because I remember my roommate going with a group from NCSU, and I'm pretty sure they took the train... but I could be wrong!
you're right, but I think the bus is somewhat cheaper. By like 10 bucks, so not a huge difference once you get so close to the $80-100 range. ;_; And who said public transportation was cheap?
Oooh, what's the West Coast like? Does it rain a lot? <---that's all I know about Washington, or Washington=Seattle.
Yeah, see, in the "teach a man to fish" light, I'd have a hook through my eye or something right now. Turns out I'm pretty bad at sewing (though trying to make a dress as a first project was probably not the wisest idea ever...)
Oooh, boots. Are they bright red boots that match your giant hair bow and plaid jacket?
I can hem decently. I just can't follow instructions worth crap b/c halfway through, I get pissed off or bored and go all "Fie to thee, oh directions" and then proceed to make up my own.
And for some reason, I also measured myself wrong, or hemmed too little and ended up w/ a dress about 2 sizes too big. But not all around. Only on the bottom half b/c I caught the top half's size issues early on. Still, it's too late to fix it b/c I sewed the two parts together already. ;_; And i spent so much money on that fabric. Wah.
Psh, blue boots are so last season. Giant canary dresses are what's hot.

Oh and Mon/Thurs at Legends is goth night. So you don't have to be gay, just wear black. The music is kind of hit-or-miss though.
