Nice little quote that stuck a chord...

"The problem with moral absolutism is that it denies the morality of anyone who doesn't agree with the absolutist -- and that strikes me as an immoral thing."

Yes, but what about child molestation? Is there ever a circumstance where that is moral? Or rape? Is it immoral to deny the morality of those like NAMBLA, or say Al-Qaeda? Just a little devil's advocacy to stir the pot a little.

Here's a great quote from the "Murray Sez" collection.

Murray sez: "Don't buy coke from strippers."

The quote is in reference to a person as a moral absolutist and the inherent contradiction there. I don't think it was intended as some sort of justification to commit any acts.

P.S. Murray is my hero :)

He is very wise.

Murray sez: "Coffee is more important than water."

Only Murray also sez:

"Fish are in water, and that makes water good."

Making morality entirely absolute leads to things like the catholic church and to the holocaust.

Making morality entirely subjective leads to the same kinds of evils.

In the middle is a teflon coated slope at a 45 degree angle.

Shit, were screwed.
