anyone on here seen 25th Hour w/Edward Norton before? I just watched it & I really liked it... really great cast/acting. anyway I'm not 100% sure I get the ending...
it's taken me a couple days to reply but anyway...
yeah, i see how you could say that. i was just wondering about the end though. there's that whole sequence of his dad telling him to go out west and live for himself, blah blah blah, then you see him & Naturale (sp?) & kids they've had and whatnot.... and then the very last image is him back in his dad's car again with the bloody face, looking out the window. i wasn't sure if that was supposed to mean that the whole escaping out west was just a reverie & never actually happened or what. what do you think?
I think that whole scene is about further pushing the point of the whole story. That it's your life and what decisions you make that ultimately decide that life. At any time, even right up till the end, he could have altered his course, but he didn't.
