Toward the end of this summer, a few of my friends took me to Casa Bonita. It was epic. Here's a few shitty pictures taken on my cell phone, if anyone cares. ( CASA BONITAAAAA! )
Thanks for posting these. They are soooo much better than the YouTube videos I watched of, like, people's trips to Casa Bonita. Which is the sort of thing I do, you know, I do what I can, life is hard. It looks like you're eating a plate of ... chips and lettuce? But that sopapilla looks good, and the best part is obviously that the little red flags are real, oh my god, I would definitely be like MORE SOPAPILLAS PLEASE endlessly, well past the point of it being clever.
I think the biggest selling point is that it's a lot like EPCOT? Because, oh my gosh, I love EPCOT. It's, like, the best place on Earth, and the Mexican pavilion is amazing to me.
Wait, and the text on the menu is really good, too.
You should totally write occasional posts about the real Colorado or something, like, as a writer's reference. Is the show pretty accurate? I feel like I know more about Colorado than I ever thought I would from researching it for fics, and I've never been there. How'd you decide to move there?
I've only been to EPCOT once since I was, like, a child, and haven't drunk around the world, but I think it's absolutely awesome. I really like Disney and I wonder if you're sick of it from living/working there, or not. Anyway, it's, what? 11 countries? 13? That's legitimately a lot to drink. I can't imagine most people not either passing out or getting seriously sick in the middle of that challenge.
Thanks for the SP-Colorado info. I sort of want to visit just to make my obsession a reality. I've definitely heard Greeley jokes before.
And never apologize for writing a novel. It's awesome.
Yes, working at Disney definitely ruins it for you... and all other theme/amusement parks, because none of them can hold a candle to Disney. I worked at the Disney-MGM studios, and though I occasionally miss it, the few times I tried to visit my friends there after I quit, I got all, like, claustrophobic. Toward the end I really hated working there, so I didn't really have great memories at that one. The other three parks were only ruined for me because when you work there, you can get into any of the parks for free almost any time you want to. So you get kind of burnt out on them. Still, it's been about 4 or 5 years since I quit, so maybe by now the parks would have their charm back. I'm a HUGE fan of fireworks, so if nothing else, that is definitely something I will never get sick of. And you're always welcome to ask me stuff about Colorado, if you're curious. You should definitely visit some time, especially if you like outdoorsy things. We've got plenty of that stuff, heh.
