Or or or or-- and this is just, like, the random romantic I keep secretly locked away-- though that part of me isn't really so secret after all. Hmm. Anyway-- wait, what was I saying-- OH. OR! Here's my theory:

Dean falls for Ruby, they have some desperate love affair with lots of hate sex blah blah, Dean dies, goes to hell, comes back evil, tries to kill Sam, Sam and Ruby work together to save him, to remind him what it's like to be human.

But what does Bella have to do with anything? Does she have anything to do with anything? Hmmmmmm.

I actually really like that, although the idea of Dean trying to kill Sam is just... wrong.

that it's mroe along the lines of hell changing you. There's no indicating that it's immediate, and also, I don't believe that someone changes the humans into demons - it's not an external force, it's an internal force in response to being in hell itself. That is an excellent way of placing it, and I agree with this theory too. Ruby does say that souls lose their touch of humanity after being in Hell for centuries. It's more realistic in that sense, because being somewhere for a prolonged period of time, suffering and tortured, changes a person. Why wouldn't someone's soul change into something dark after centuries? This also goes along the lines of what something does to fundamentally change a person, and you could see Demon contemplating this not only with Ruby tonight but when he was chatting with Casey a while back. He is seriously trying to get a clear picture of what his time is going to be like, and whether this whole "live in the moment" freedom attitude he has going is really worth centuries of pain and torment ( ... )

ALSO, DEAN HAS A SOFT SPOT FOR BUNNIES.

I don't have much more to contribute. :| But everything about him is heartbreaking.
