Kitty's purring again!

Now we just need to get him past this stuff and eating and drinking again so he can come home.

Damn, what a week and in less than 48 hours I've got to run a marathon.

*sigh*

know you were running this weekend. i would love to come out and cheer. i just might do that if i can manage it with our little one but the weather might make it difficult. i wish you well on the race and am sending positive thoughts for kitty.

Don't worry, I'll be easy to spot - look for the guy in the full leprechaun outfit.

Really.

Our entire house has their paws crossed, hoping kitty does OK this weekend.

The drugs we used at first were Lactulose and Laxitone, and the "silver bullet" for Beorn was Cisapride. I hope none of these are necessary, tho!

I guess I missed why Kitty wasn't at home? I had seen something about him not feeling well...

wasn't eating or drinking for a bit either. He was at the kitty hospital thru last night and then home with us. Took him back to our regular vet this morning. I pick him up around lunch today where they'll show me how to give subcutaneous fluids and then I just need to monitor him and make sure he's eating his normal amounts and drinking too. If not - back to the vet.

Hopefully he's near the end of this ordeal.

I had to do the subq fluids with my cat that had kidney failure. It's pretty easy. Glad he's home!

I've gone over some online docs I found on giving sub Q and the vet's going to give me a little crash course but it is a bit scary :)
