zsh is great

There are already a zillion zsh hint and tip things floating around, but they are long and sort of... terse.

So here's some stuff I find particularly useful.

bash works for me though and I only use the shell when I'm working on a server remotely. Granted, it happens often enough, but I've never gone through the effort of using/installing a new shell!

If the remote server doesn't have zsh, do you just install it yourself in your home directory?

Hey, those sound like neat and useful things. I've always meant to tinker with something besides bash, but it's been low on the priority list.
