This has been a great week for LJ. Seriously.
If you don't believe me, just check these stats:
good = 505 (as collected by
michaelnolan)
bad = 2267 (as collected by
rollick)
I don't know the stats for how many LJ-users are deemed to be in need of a shot of Vitamin B12 (
baxil) or a stiff drink (
postvixen).
For Good LJ, I nominated
owlrigh,
galeogirl,
catling,
beetiger, and
eetmewithtoast. I gave compelling reasons

Anyway, thanks.
The bad news is, I can't start on your wings for quite awhile yet . . . perhaps not 'til next fall. :(
It would be FUN to make wings and tails and such, it would be FUN to finish my other craft projects. But if I don't actually WORK on my animation portfolio, my imagination will complain I'm not using it properly, and leave me again.
If summer's over and I haven't mentioned starting them again, please bug me.

Your grammar is fine, it's the lack of capitals that make for an unbroken stream of consciousness. That's an effect you're going for. Don't take it personally, I'm just continuing the honorable old tradition of bitching about everything and anything on the internet.
(Cue Net Bastard Rant #438 from postvixen in 3 . . . 2 . . 1 . . . )
I'm almost never snarky at my Friends List, except when I am. :)

I like to think of my lj as a place for personal expression, where I can escape all the bullshit ranking and criticism that goes on in the world around me. Picking lj's as interesting or unique or whatever is fine; calling them "best", "worst", etc. seems to me like an abuse of people's expressive spirit. If no one went around picking best and worst, no one would feel bad about being on or omitted from those lists. I didn't nominate anyone, no matter how interesting I find their journals.
I'll be much happier when all this shit is over and people can just go back to enjoying their 'blogging.

My opinion of course.

I agree that it's the nature of humanity, but I disagree on the aspect. People have an easier time tearing each other apart than building each other up. That goes doubly true for the 'net, where you don't have to put on your nice-nice face.
It's such a relief to leave my nice-nice face off. I don't think of myself as the worst Troll here, but it feels really good to let loose on appropriate subjects. I think I have a narrower view of "appropriate subjects", luckily.
I can't believe how many people on that doom thread were screaming hysterical rants against Furries and people who like Anime and Fanfic, much less Fundamental Christians and Conservatives. I don't see much difference between hating a Furry (sight unseen) and hating a Buddhist, Native American, or low-income person. It's all lines in the sand: I pick up individual pig-headed grains and focus on them. Being pig-headed myself, it's pretty easy. ;)

I've had people threaten me with bodily harm, and in person...
Well they slunk away..
Its easy to hate on the net... Way to easy..

This IS my journal, I CAN have it my way.
You CAN ignore me. You CAN bitch at me for picking on less grammatically-oreinted people. I CAN ignore you right back.
See, that's how this "Freedom of Expression" thing works. If you want to think of me as hypocritical, or a Net Bastard, or Kelp, or whatever the hell you want- go ahead. Write about it in your LJ: spell it atrociously and with horrible grammar.
It is YOUR LJ, and YOU have a right to do that.
But I still maintain my right to bitch about whatever I please.

Bye, PK. Think me oversensitive, think of me as some kind of emotion police. Just don't think of me as somebody who still finds your immaturity disguised as whimsy charming. Are you pleased that your self-fulfilling prophecy has come true and I've finally lost my interest in you?
