This is the first morning that I've woken up feeling anywhere near OK. Anywhere near baseline. And I think it was because I managed to cry a little last night . . . Yes, I'm fully aware that the PM of Oz is just behind Mr. Blair in the line to kiss W's ass.

However, the Australians are even more blase about their politics than Americans are. They might give a fuck if it wasn't so much effort. Tipping the wrist is easy and fun, an activity everyone can do, anytime at all!

I have an in with Australia. I could probably get a work permit there, what with being married to an Australian and all. And we have free places to stay/store our shit 'til we get settled.

Otherwise I'd probably head north. I love Montreal, and they're leaps and bounds ahead of the rest of the world with respect to certain important things such as medical Marijuana and Gay Marriage. (I mean the rest of the world that isn't a few select EU countries.) I hear their new PM is a right-wing dick, but I haven't heard anything about him rolling back their Beautiful New World yet. So I'd suggest Canada as an easy-to-reach, sensible refuge for the rest of us.

Northwards it is for me. to actually become a citizen is kinda tough, but i think i can do it. not sure where or exactly when yet, but i know my parents plan to go too. we'll see what happens.
in any case, i totally understand the need to exit stage left.
