Iiii say try adding pupils. The eyes look strange and flat just by themselves with all the fancy shading around them (and I really like the way you do eyes!) so yes, pupils.

thanks for the input! I tried adding white highlights to see if that would help at all n.n;
but I'll definitely try adding the pupils too. I love coloring eyes, lol.
