This has got to be the biggest mistake I've made. I looked down at my hospital gown. I'm about two blocks from the hospital. It's raining, my hair is...ugh, and I'm in a freaking hospital gown. You see the things I do for Angel? God, he doesn't even know I'm awake. I don't know what it was, but when I woke up, I felt different. When I was half demon, there was this feeling inside of me. Now, it's not there. This could be a problem. I'm human again, with visions. Is this deja vu? Are they trying to kill me again ( ... )

Slaying the dragon, that might have been it. Or maybe it was actually bringing down the entire Circle of the Black Thorn? They were the purveyors of evil on Earth...the ones that made sure that there was mayhem to drive people to fear or madness and now they were all dead, as were most of the Senior Partners' minions.

Could that be why I now find myself on the ground, in a familiar position? Last time it was like this, I had lost my soul and it had happened another time after Darla and I had conceived Connor, only that time, it didn't happen...and this...well...this is entirely different from that.

There was so much loss. I tried to so hard to keep us all together and watch each others backs, but it didn't play out like that. Mostly everyone I cared about are dead, with the exception of Dawn. My body was numb. Rage went through me as I fought. There wasn't any time to think about who died. That would happen, after. I didn't look forward to it. It's going to crush me.

When we were all fighting, I found myself surrounded by Angel and Spike. Spike. I thought he died in Sunnydale. I didn't understand it. I didn't even have time to comprehend that, either. Fighting, killing and fighting until there was nothing left to fight ( ... )

Thought for sure that Angel received the reward. Had always thought deep down, even though I liked to make Angel get a hair in the crack about it...that he would be the one to get the vampire with the soul reward, because, yeah, he'd been all soul-happy for more then a century longer then I have ( ... )
