This is my contribution to Garden of Shadows' monthly theme. (Yes, I am starting to get the feeling that all I ever make is for someone's monthly theme ...)

Nice set! I have some constructive criticism though: Is it really necessary to make the textures this big? I can understand it with the pigs who had fine hair, and there were many slaved pigs which improved the filesize/usability ratio, but I don't think it would make a visible difference if you used only 1024x1024 textures on these objects, which would make the files a lot smaller.

I'll keep that in mind for future sets. Do you happen to know if there's some kind of rule to it? Like, a 1 tile object needs a certain size to look decent, a 2 tile object needs the double of that, etc.? I'm still pretty new to this, and image size is one of the things I haven't quite figured out yet.

Usually 1024x1024 should be the limit and is enough for most things. It depends also on the mapping and how detailed the object is. If the texture is divided into several areas for different parts bigger texture helps, and very fine details might get lost on smaller size. E.g. the pigs hair would probably look blurry in smaller size, and as I said many slaved pigs compensate the bigger size. As another example I used 2048-textures for my planes, big objects with many details that looked blurry otherwise (still I offered 1024-textures for weaker systems). But for small/low objects with natural "random" textures like the gravestones, coffin and skeleton even 512x512 might be enough ( ... )
