I use the Herbal Essences hair color. It works rather well and is gentle on your hair too. Nice N Easy has an awesome black that has a cool blue tint to it, but it's not as gentle and might leave some friz. If you try it, I suggest a good hydrating conditioner so your hair doesn't get fried. Good luck and hope you are doing well!

i have tried two different brands... both faded horribly.

miss clairol (sally's) black azure seems to stay in my hair the longest without fading, and I use the pool in the summer. Stay away from Garnier 100% color, that not only faded fast with no pool/sun, but it dried out my hair so bad. And, I am sure you know this already, L'oreal's Feria is the devil. The color comes out terrible, and it burns like fire on your head. Black hair dye needs no lift, so it shouldn't do that! My friend went from blonde to black, used feria for it, and it turned out blue/brown. WTF!

You need someone with a license to buy it for you from Kayser's or Loffler's, but Goldwell's black is a-w-e-s-o-m-e! lasts forever!
