Booooooooks!

It is so typical of me to feel like I'd like to read more non-fiction, and to request a bunch of non-fiction books from the library, and then only get about 50 pages into each one before getting bored and going on to the next one. And then abandoning them entirely and becoming completely engrossed in the one novel that I checked out, and finishing ( Read more... )

I go through these phases where I want to read nothing but non-fiction, but like you I get burned out easy. Now I try to keep one non-fiction and one fiction book going at all times. That way I can switch it up

I am beginning to think that what I need to do is *buy* the non-fiction, then I can read it at my leisure. I devour fiction so fast it's usually not worth the investment of buying it, unless it's one of my favorite authors and I'm adding it to my home-library. But non-fiction may be a different matter.

Now I just need to be able to afford my own copies of every non-fiction book I want to read. Ha!
