The only pets I have experience with naming are dogs, and while there are certainly bad names for dogs, I can't really say there are names that are good for all dogs. You have to factor in looks and personality there ( ... )

A long time ago I dated a guy named Shiloh who claimed that the only other Shilohs he ever met were either girls or dogs.
