The question came up in the post regarding Collars on the BDSM and Leather filter regarding how one manages being openly or closeted polyamorous/non-monogamous but still maintain the integrity of an ethical set of relationships. I just tend to use their language to explain my point. When someone asks me those questions I just say "I'm not getting serious with anyone right now" or "We have an open relationship"

Yeah, being married can complicate that a bit - and "we have an open relationship" would definitely qualify as inviting them into the closet.

But I know lots of people who work that way and it works pretty damn well.

The other "factor" for sekhmetdancing and I is that it is literally impossible for us to completely closet - there are court documents that show that we were/are polyamorous. Anyone who wants to dig deep enough will be able to find out and that also informs our choices a bit.
