Competed in my first 5K on saturday and finished in 27 minutes and 48 seconds ranking 693rd of 1614 people. So not great but not bad. My aim was just to finish in under 30 minutes. I need to start training more for my summer charity runs. Damn you for living more than ten minutes away, we could have trained together :)

Very well done. I'm hoping to do 5km in the next few months, although I'm only running about 3 at the moment and dying at that. But, who knows, one day we may high 5 at the starting line, as you sprint of and I faint at the thought of even standing up for more than 11 minutes.

Well done for the running - and can't really beat the route for scenery! Really hoping to get back into it myself in the summer - Cambs not so interesting....

I can't believe that! Cambridgeshire! flat and green! Must be some beautiful places to run. I didn't know you ran - when did you start?

I've no idea what Mika looks like but whenever I hear him I just imagine him zooming around like a kind of Disney-style animated helium balloon.

I did a sponsored run last year, mainly because i wanted to prove to myself that I could do something that was totally out of my comfort zone - being a natural born sloth...but I really enjoyed it once I got past the initial pain!

I manage 5K in about an hour.
But i do enjoy the walk.
