I'm thankful neither my sons nor I have to deal with this:

I, for one, have had it with the destruction of all our holidays. Why can't people just lighten up and let people have a little fun? Especially the kids. What next, the Elf Liberation Movement to free all the pointy eared toysmiths slaving away in Santa's sweatshop. (Not to mention reindeer abuse.)

For me it goes far beyond "having fun" - though I'm all for that too. What infuriates me is that these people are filling children's heads with all sorts of misinformation and calling it education. I heartily dislike such one-sided approaches. As I said, it's far too simplistic to claim that white people were all thieves and murderers, and that red-men (or is that too non-PC a term?) were noble savages who lived in harmony with nature and one another until the bad white men came along.

Balderdash!
