I guess it could be kinda calico, if you squint and are feeling generous.
It's that weird long fur that always looks vaguely clumpy and separated in chunks. I suppose that could be diet issues as well; the vet had had her since September, though, you'd think her diet'd be back on track.
Look up "British blue-cream" and see if there's anything that looks like her- that's what it sounds like (I can't see the pictures well as I'm reading on my phone; power outage issues.)
She looks gray to me, but that may be because all the cats I've known who've had the clumpy long hair you describe have been gray. Now I'm curious what color she really is...
Well, I just told Ann that NOW I've decided she is definitely leaning towards grey. But like the brown end of grey. She's different in different lights.
I admit, I've not read it and have only seen the Paltrow version of Emma, so I may be missing some canon characterization points, but I liked Jane in that - very self-possessed and sort of "still waters", you know?
Very regal in that first profile... maybe it should be Lady Jane Fairfax? *G*
Looks like she has a double coat, so that may be part of the difficulty in describing the colour - you're seeing guard hairs of one colour over an undercoat of another colour. Our Manx, Satu, has a silver-grey tabby top coat over a cream that's almost salmon-pink undercoat. She looks the exact colour of a wild rabbit or grey squirrel... or the shady grey of weathered concrete patio slabs!

Dilute calico? She's a pretty cat. I like the long fur.
