While I was out walking, a suspciously-innocuous sedan drove by me, and I saw there were handcuffs on the dashboard. It pulled up about three houses in front of me, and two dudes got out. It said "MARSHAL" on the back of their shirts, and one of them had a folded piece of paper in his hand ( Read more... )

I was several blocks from my actual house, so not too close, at least. Just weird and curiosity-stirring.

My folks just had a similar incident: My Dad called the police when he saw two men sitting for hours in a nondescript car in their little neighborhood. It turned out that Marshals have been staking out a house and boy was the police officer surprised when he went to tell my father not to worry.

We aren't the nicest side of town/neighborhood, and fairly red-necky in lots of parts, so there's probably a lot of things it could have been.

But the marshals didn't say anything to me or try to hurry me up, so probably nothing too dramatic.
