She smiles back to him, folding her hands in her lap and her eyes shine as she gazes across the lake and travel to the sky and then to him. "It does. I am glad to have such company to share it with."

"As am I. I have often been left alone here.. and those I have met before have rarely been pleasant. I haven't met anyone like you... and I am very glad that we ran into each other." He's not sure what it is about her but he already likes her. He hopes again that he's not being too forward with his words.

She flushes a bit, out of delight, not awkwardness and smiles, lightly. "I haven't met anyone like you either. And I agree. It was a brilliant stroke of luck that our paths crossed."

"It's odd. It feels like I met anyone else a very long time ago... but maybe that is because..," he trails off and looks away, making a slightly embarrassed sound at what he was thinking of saying, dismissing it as overly romantic considering they've only just met.

And to think the other day he had been dissing Peter for being engaged...
