It occurs to me that Misa is going to royally bork things up.

Is it going to be a strange and dysfunctional yuri triangle? Because I would be totally okay with that.

The triangle is more of a series of arrows going Misa -> Light -> L. Then it stops, possibly because it's fallen off the top of a building or gotten run over by a train. Twice.

t letting go. She's never going to let go, not until she needs to, and that's its own threat, maybe she's challenging herself too much, except that could never be, because she must be perfect. "You'll never believe me no matter what I say."

Ryuuga does a perfect imitation of a disdainful snort. "Light-kun is Kira, therefore it would be foolish to believe anything she says."

Light thinks about stretching her leg across the booth to kick her off balance, maybe, or tugging so sharply she crashes down straight into the crockery, but she's not that petty.

Haaaaaaaar.

They are kind of unintentionally hilarious sometimes! (Light likes to think she's a grownup. She's not.)

I like Ryuk and his cheerful commentary on everything. It's fun when it's the shinigami who's got the most normal perspective on things.

No kidding. Ryuk, you should probably give up trying to figure these ladies out, I'm pretty sure it will never happen.

Light must fight those childish urges! However, fighting them does not mean not experiencing them.

But Ryuk wants to knooooooow! I occasionally get the impression that he's pulling the equivalent of sitting back and munching popcorn and coming up with weird fan-theories re:motivations and wtf they mean when they say things.
