That's a cute shirt.

And she picked a great time to visit, if she likes hot weather. And humidity. Cripes, I think I moved to a swamp. Oh wait...

I figured doing my part on the Heinlein project was the next best thing to managing the weather (about which I can do nothin', alas). Ah, well. I probably don't need any more chocolate.

You must be at Jeanne C's summer writing workshop? I had no idea she scheduled it into dorms w/out a/c. It's often hot this time of July, if not quite *this* hot. (I've never been to that gig, for a number of reasons, as a teacher, so I don't know the condition of St. A's dorm facilities.)

BTW you're about 20 min from my house if you'd like to say hi before heading home.

alas, I am only writer-in-residence through Saturday morning, and I have no car...
(also, very little time. Like the students, I am on the go from wake-up to fall-down. It's been a fabulous week, though, and some really great students).

The dorms, being meant for use in 3 seasons, not 4, have no a/c. We have fans, and we have air conditioned classrooms and library, and a nice breeze on the days it appeared, so we're surviving. But it hasn't been the Most Fun Ever, no. Very glad the heat wave's finally broken.
