Dunno yet. My insurance (grrrrr) has approved only 1 DAY, when normal procedures have one kept for 4-5 days for this operation, but they've also said quite clearly to us that if the doctor would like me to stay longer, they will approve any number of days he wants. We talked to them just today about that, in fact.

So ... maybe 2 days. I dunno. I'll keep you guys apprised as best I can from there. I have my iPhone and a charging cord/plug for it, but I may be pretty well fried on drugs the first day. I'll get Elric to post to my LJ when I'm done with surgery so everyone knows I'm okay.

Bug me to put up Colditz and the most recent three McCoy audios. They're dark, but good. It should be about 8+ hours of listening.

You'll OMG OMG until you know no better, then, when it's all said and done you'll just BUGGER BLOODY BLEEPING EXPLETIVES, but you know it was SO worth it! If not for your own mental health, then at least for the sake of others!

I wish you well, you know where I am if you need anything at all! I'm not religious, but I will most definitely keep you in my thoughts.

Thank you! *hugs*

It's the thought that they're going to GO INTO MY SPINE AND FIDDLE WITH STUFF WITH THE NERVES AND PUT IN STUFF LIKE TITANIUM SCREWS that just makes me *shudder* and want to crawl into my own neck. LOL

Yeesh. Just writing it out gives me the shudders.

I'm sure it'll be fine in the end. Especially after I finish swearing a blue streak when the pain meds wear off that first day!

I have people promising to send me DT picspams (and, ahem, pr0n) so I can SHOCK ALL THE NURSES. Woot!!!

Don't forget: THURSDAY EVENING (US Eastern Time) IS "EDITRX WILL SHOCK ALL THE NURSES WITH DT PICSPAMS NIGHT"!

I will convert them all.... Bwahahahahahahah!

I am such an evil woman. :D

Oh no's, did I hear you say pr0ns XD Ask and thou shalt recieve! I've got something special in mind after our little conversation ;) An Elephant never forgets.

You my dear, will be the talk of the town, we'll make sure of that! You're allowed to be EVIL! Thats your right, at least until the morphine wears off, then they just think you're odd ;)

It sounds utterly terrible, and I can't say I envy you, but if I could help, you know I most definitely would! I'll be sure to have something special for you though, that, I can do in a heartbeat. And, this time, they'll all say - OMG, THEY LOVE EACH OTHER! and you'll giggle you mwah ha ha ha laugh and wink your evil eye. You'll be fine. ♥

Good luck with things! I'm sure it'll go well. Although making you drive for things you don't have to seems silly.

And lol, don't worry. Mess is a normal state for me!

Hey, at least the desk is HUGE, so there's still plenty of room, even with the piles of papers and the dead keyboard (well, half-dead -- I still need to revive it with a bit of judicious cleaning).

I have charged up my iPhone & have speakers for it and everything, and loaded some of the "Dragon" audiobooks on it that DT narrated (I still haven't listened to any but the first one -- they are CHARMING!). So the drive will, at least, have in-flight entertainment of the Scottish-accented variety. Can't beat that!

BTW, if I do need to get ahold of you while you're off gallivanting around Europe, email would be best? Or what?

Email's probably a good'un. Or you can text (I did give you my mobile number, right?) or twitter DM (which is the same as texting for me because I get them on my phone).

And bwah, I think I might be so jetlagged I may fail to appreciate even DT's pretty accent.

Awww, please don't feel guilty about your house! Mine is a mess and I'm perfectly healthy!

Anyway, I hope everything goes well in Dartmouth today. ::hugs::

If you and/or Shinyopals is coming down to Boston at any point, let me know.

Oh, I'd planned to ask when in July you'd like to rendez-vous with us and have some tea or coffee or somesuch. And of course I've never met Cardboard!David. XD

(All slightly contingent on my back's progress in healing. I suspect by mid-July, if not sooner, I should be fine for a trip like that. It's only an hour, after all.)

Breathe deeply. It's going to be fine. Really, really. And afterward it's going to be so swell. We're all wishing and hoping and thinking of you.
