So if I was to cook Sashimi (and by cook I meant prepare), getting the ingredients from the fish stall at the market (which I am lead to believe is rather fresh, having had their squid) the same day, who'd dare to eat ( Read more... )

I'd be willing to try all of the above. I've had raw fish before, though, and didn't like it; maybe the sashimi preparation process makes it more palatable.

Um... if cutting it into thin strips changes the taste, sure...

OTOH, dowsing in soy sauce and/or wasabi cures any ability to taste things

Yummy raw fish!

It depends, you see, what is in the salad.

I laugh in the face of raw fish. And then run away screaming. So no, you can't make me eat it ;)

I'm happy to eat gumbo made with anything except the invertebrates and always happy to eat the salad. Sushi I'm very happy to eat, sashimi less so.

I'd give it a go. Though in the case of squid and octopus the go might be along the lines of '*nibble* eww!'

PS, what's gumbo?

erm like soup or stew... you put all the things in a pan and make it hot.

Also I eat *everything* (except sprouts and cheesecake) so I'll eat Sashimi if you think the fish is fresh enough.
