There is a link between diabetes and heart disease.
They are only claiming that this is a trigger, but it might make doctors a little more cautious when advising their patients about going low in blood sugar. Right now I think all studies have pointed to not much long term effects for going low (as long as one doesn't die while there), except maybe becoming unable to feel the symptoms of low blood sugar. But maybe they weren't looking for Alzheimer's.
